Blizzard 2011

Boy, oh boy was there excitement around our house yesterday! The boys couldn't wait for the snow to stop so they could go outside. I informed them that I was going to go shovel the porch and sidewalk. They didn't waste anytime getting dressed so they could "help". Camden grabbed his shovel and he was on a mission. Kai grabbed a shovel and... well I'm not sure, it may have been for looks.

Here is Kai "Climbing the Himalaya" mountain. It was a short climb, but he reached the top.

Camden, you guessed it, still shoveling. At this point he added a face mask for added warmth.

Hey what's that? A snow angel? Who has time for snow angels when there's work to be done?

Camden is determined to make a path clear across the driveway. Kai would rather not worry about the silly things in life like actually getting out of the house and joining society.

Cookie Decorating

What is the holidays without frosted sugar cookies? The boys were serious about their frosting and decorating techniques this year.

Looks like someone has been in the frosting!

Hockey Highlights

Hockey Champs! First Place Peoria Blizzard Blast Tournament

Coach Todd won the pie-in-the-face prize. The team won first place in their Peoria Tournament on New Years Eve weekend.

Other hockey highlights throughout this hockey season. Can Kai get a goofier look on his face?

Christmas Highlights

We must have Reindeer food to throw out for Santas reindeer to find their way to our house.

Apparently Santa stopped by on Christmas Eve and dropped off guns to all of the boys. Ella has a pillow pet which Camden thinks she should name Sushi.

The boys got rollerblades for Christmas. Camden put on his new hockey shirt and went downstairs to play some rollerhockey.

He loved everything he got! Camden was SOOOO excited this year.

Kai helps Shawn open the gift he picked out. It was a new measuring tape, better than the one Kai broke a few weeks earlier.

Camden had a hockey tournament in the Dells a few weeks ago. Here are a couple photos from the hockey weekend.


Camden is sporting his medal he got at the end of the tournament. The kids did a great job and played some tough teams.

Yep, it was that cold! Plus a long night swimming, made it a tiring day at the rink.

Happy Birthday

We had the boys' birthday party at Happy Joes in Coal Valley again this year. We spent the first part of the party at the mini-golf course.

Summer Fun

BonJovi concert in Chicago was fabulous! Best concert ever.

The boys played tball this summer for Rockridge. Camden loved every moment, Kai... not so much!

We celebrated Jenny and Jamie's 10 year anniversary in Jamaica, July of this summer.

Time for the zip line through the Jamaican jungle/mountains, during a thunderstorm. Fun times.
