Santa's Cookies

I gave Kai a Christmas tree cookie and a tube of green frosting. Really... what did I expect? I bet it tastes fabulous! Santa might eat this one on Christmas Eve.

We had fun decorating the cookies. The boys did a great job this year. The already picked out the cookies we are leaving for the big guy tomorrow night.

Hockey Time!

Camden was announced at the Mallards game last Saturday night. He was announced with the team as a "Future Mallard". He's standing with Mo Mallard before the game.

He was nervous skating out on the ice in the dark. He'd never skated in the dark before. The spotlight was on him while being introduced. Camden had a large crowd rooting him on! We are very proud of him.

Mr. Star

Well it's that time of the year again when Mr. Star visits the Docherty household. Mr. Star was discovered yesterday by the upstairs t.v. The boys were excited to see him again and started talking to him right away. We took out the book, read it, and reviewed Mr. Star's rules. Both boys were up at the crack of dawn looking for Mr. Star, where could he be? They found him after about 5 minutes of searching. Where will he be tomorrow? The search is on.

Festival of Trees

Camden's class went to the Festival of Trees this week. This year there were games set up for the kids to play at the "North Pole". Camden and his partner, Preston, played golf, went fishing, saw the gingerbread houses and much more.

Grandma Docherty was Camden's bus driver for the field trip. He was very excited to see her! After the Festival of Trees the class went to the Lion's Club for a Thanksgiving Feast. Camden made sure there was plenty of room next to him for Grandma to sit.

Halloween Night

We took the boys to Aunt Sheila's and Uncle Scott's to go trick-or-treating with the cousins.

Don't you love Ryan's costume?! He played the part perfectly.

Camden shows off his stash.

We went to a Halloween Party at the Sevier's this weekend. Below is a picture of some of the kids gathered around the straw & scarecrows. Getting all the kids in a picture was a task, getting them all looking at the camera at the same time was impossible.

Gage the hunter stops for a little snack.

Soccer

The Purple Jets is the name of the boys soccer team. The boys wanted to play soccer, so I signed them up through the RI Park League. Kai exceeded our expectations this season, well... at least for the first game. He was so energetic & did a great job for the first game of the fall league. Unfortunately that's about how long it lasted. After that he just goofed around and played with the other kids. He had fun & I'm glad I signed him up. Camden is Mr. Athlete & serious when it comes to sports. They both had a great time being on the Purple Jets.

Kai did great when he was the goalie. That is the perfect position for him, it doesn't require a lot of movement.

There's always at least one injury per season.

Shirts

What do you notice first... the shirts or the beard? Guess which one is me?

First Day of Kindergarten

Camden was outside waiting to go down to the bus stop about 30 minutes before we had to leave. The night before, he wanted a good nights sleep so he was ASKING to go to bed at 7 PM. He was snoring by 7:30.

Camden loves riding the bus! According to the bus driver, he's a talker. Next week she might sit him somewhere not so close to the front.

drywall

The original plan was to finish drywalling the garage, drywall the downstairs hall closet and Shawn's closet. Shawn decided we should drywall my extra closet, fix Camden's closet, and smooth every single wall in the house.

The hall closet was never drywalled. This never seemed to bother us, but apparently we think the next people might care.
This was once the laundry room... now storage.

Are you serious? If you want to buy a house with perfect walls, we have the house for you!

The whole Docherty family was together so we had a photo shoot at the farm.

Miss Sofia... as cute as always.
