Buddy Walk

We went to the third annual Buddy Walk. This is supporting the "Up side of Down Syndrome." The boys are standing next to their friends Hallie, Johnathan and Jacob. We always enjoy all the events at the Buddy Walk. The kids played games, jumped in the inflatable, and had their faces painted. Oh, and snacks of course. Kai ate TWO Krispy Creme doughnuts. He didn't even leave a crumb.

Hallie (Gary daughter), Johnathan & Jacob (Matt & Lisa's little guys), Camden & Kai all pose for their 3rd Buddy Walk.

Gage came & joined the fun.

Kai, Camden & Chase relax before it's time to play. Did you notice they are all wearing the same colors?

Our fellow Buddy Walkers: Brandy, Tina & Elvia. Lisa was around somewhere, talking to all her supporters I'm sure.

Church Performance

It's a little difficult to see, but Kai is in front in the orange shirt and Camden is on the left in the plaid. They are using hand motions with a song they sang at church a couple of Sundays ago. We weren't sure how it was actually going to go, but it started off pretty good. The boys are actually singing and kind of know the words and motions to the songs.

Kai is getting into this song! He's doing great, until.... Do you see that boy in the striped shirt next to him? Well, that kid got a little rowdy and Kai decided to join in the fun. Fun time ended when the boy made Kai fall. Kai got right up & pushed the kid to the ground. Shawn decided he saw enough & we didn't stay for the sermon. I thought it was humorous myself.

Birthday

The party is finally here! The boys have been looking forward to this day for a very long time. Camden was very specific in what he wanted this year. He asked for a wallet, "Because that's where money lives". Don't we wish! Kai's response: "Me too!" These are Kai's famous words these days.

It's party time! What's better than bobbing for apples? The kids had a great time trying to snag the perfect apple. Kai tried to sneak an apple with his hands. Camden & Garrett ended up with more water on their shirts than in the pool.

Hallica & the other kids loved jumping in the inflatable. Kai got a little wild and crazy once all his friends joined him in the bouncie.

Camden & Kai looked forward to their birthday party for a long time. Camden was very excited when the day finally approached. The boys requested little weenies wrapped in cresent rolls for their party. You would have thought they would have actually ate them. Apparently there was too much to do, and no time for eating.

Docherty Farm

We spent some time on the Docherty farm this weekend. Uncle Steve was in town from New York, so everyone came to visit. Kai, Hallica & Camden enjoyed looking at the Fall decorations Grandpa set up in the front yard.

Hallica is pushing Kai on the swing set at Ma & Pa's.

Hallica & Camden are posing in front of the corn. They enjoy spending time together whenever possible. Camden is up to something, but we're not quite sure what.

Hanging out at the Docherty farm.

Kai loves Uncle Steve! He always conned Steve into pushing him on the swing set & the tire swing.

Preschool

Time for preschool! Camden & Reid are waiting to go inside their new school. Camden picked out his clothes and sported new shoes for the big day. He's been waiting for this day for months!

Camden started preschool yesterday at Merry Sunshine. He has been looking forward to this day for some time now. Kai thought he was going too. I had to break the unfortunate news to him. Camden is standing with his friend Reid, who is in his same class.

Camden & Kai at the Pinewood Derby

The boys are ready for the big race on Saturday. It's the night before the race and they are determined to win. We think they should win the "Best of Show".

Shawn helped the boys make their race cars for the Pinewood Derby at Aunt Cindy's place. They didn't take first place, but they did quite well for their first race. Shawn is already working on ideas to improve next years cars.
